Glenn Dickinson is a partner at the law firm Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton, a long-time member and supporter of the Ventura County Taxpayers Association. Glenn became board chair in 2008. He is an intellectual property and business litigation attorney who helps many local companies and individuals protect their trademarks, copyrights and other interests. He has been named to the list of Southern California Superlawyers for the last three years. Glenn and his wife Camille live in the Hobson Heights area of Ventura. They have three children, ages 5, 9 and 11. He is active in the Ventura County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, enjoys tae kwon do and plays guitar in his spare time. Like many members of the VCTA, Glenn views the continued growth of government as a dangerous trend. "Government programs create the illusion that the government can solve all problems and take care of your every need," he says. "But the government depends on the hard work and enterprise of private citizens. They're the ones who create the wealth. The government has its proper role, but every program costs money, and we should always be asking, 'Is this money better left in the hands of the people who earned it?'"
