Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce and Karen Gabler, employment law partner at Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton, will present the HR Management Strategy Roundtable series on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
Gabler will present a round table program on employment law topics of interest to business owners and human resource management.
Attendance is free, and continental breakfast will be served.
The next round table will be on Feb. 24 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Best Western Posada Royale Hotel and Suites, 1775 Madera Road, Simi Valley.
The topic will be “Are Your Employees Blogging Your Company Into Bankruptcy?”
Gabler will discuss the impact of growing technology on the workplace, including how to draft an effective social media policy, legal considerations in employees’ use of Internet technology in the workplace and balancing employee productivity and morale with the company’s protection from lawsuits.
