
Randall George was admitted to the bar in California in 1978 and practices in the areas of taxation, corporate and general business law, and estate planning. He holds an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, its highest peer rating. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Chair of its Tax Practice Group.
Randall represents business and individual clients in a wide range of transactional and tax matters. He often serves as the lead or sole attorney in structuring and negotiating acquisitions, divestitures and mergers of small and mid-size companies. He assists clients with planning, forming and managing their business entities, contract negotiation and drafting, and problem solving in income, property, business license, employment and estate tax matters. He works with the employment lawyers in the firm to design and implement deferred compensation plans and other executive compensation strategies. His clients include multi-generational family owned businesses and he assists them with the succession planning, wealth transfer and management challenges that face these entities. He is often co-counsel with the firm's litigation attorneys on major cases that involve income or estate tax issues, business reorganization or dissolution.
A Deputy District Attorney for Ventura County, 1978-1980, Randall is a member of the Ventura County and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of California.
Randall currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ventura YMCA, is its past Chair and twice has received its Distinguished Service Award. He also enjoys serving as a Project Leader for the Loma Vista (Ventura) 4H Club.
Randall graduated from the University of California at Davis (B.A., International Relations, 1975) with highest honors and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his legal education at the same university (J.D. 1978). Mr. George holds a Master's degree in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, where he was nominated to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
Raised in Northern California, Randall is a 30-year resident of Ventura. He and his wife, an information technology director in the agricultural industry, have two daughters. The family enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and journeys afar with their younger daughter for Irish Dance competitions.
