
PHILIP C. DRESCHER practices in the areas of water and municipal law, estate planning and general business and real estate transactions. He previously served as City Attorney for the cities of Santa Paula and Ojai and as general counsel for United Water Conservation District for 30 years.
Mr. Drescher began his law practice in the Ventura County District Attorney's office in 1963, and two years later started a private practice with Ed Beach, Steve Stone and Lyman Smith in Santa Paula. Prior to joining Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, Mr. Drescher was a founding member of Drescher, McConica, Onstot, Schuck & Young.
Mr. Drescher has been the President and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Ventura County Bar Association and Vice Chair of Santa Paula Savings and Loan Association. He has served as the Chair of the Board of Ventura's Community Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana, and is the Chair of its National Advisory Board. He has also served on the Board of Directors and chaired the Future Planning and Water Committees of Saticoy Country Club.
Born and raised in California, Mr. Drescher earned his bachelor of arts in history from Dartmouth College and his juris doctor degree from Stanford University. He spent two years in active duty as a navy lieutenant, junior grade.
Mr. Drescher enjoys reading, travel and golf.
