
LARRY HINES' areas of practice include employment and labor law litigation; major will, trust and probate litigation; partnership, corporate and shareholder litigation; and business tort litigation in all state and federal courts.
Mr. Hines was admitted to the bar in California in 1970. He is also a member of the United States District Court, Central District of California; the United States Claims Court, Washington, D.C.; the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Washington, D.C.; and the United States Supreme Court, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Hines is a member of the State Bar of California (Labor Law and Business Litigation Sections), and the Ventura County Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer and speaker on employment and labor law issues and is the author of a 400-page management training manual entitled Employment Law for Private Business - How to Reduce Risks of Employee Lawsuits, including the articles titled "Employer's Guide on What Constitutes Sexual Harassment" and "How an Employer Should Approach a Sexual Harassment Investigation."
Mr. Hines has served as advisory counsel for numerous nonprofit organizations in Ventura County. He has served on the Board of Directors of Food Share, Inc., which provides food and services to the hungry. He is also the founder and President of the Nadine Griffey Academy of Kenya, which is building a primary boarding school for orphans in Nairobi, Kenya.
Mr. Hines attended Humboldt State College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963 and a Master of Arts degree in 1964. He received his legal training at Willamette University in Oregon, where he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1969.
