
GLENN DICKINSON practices in the areas of trademark, copyright, Internet law and competitive business disputes. His practice covers both litigation and transactional matters. He has trial experience in a variety of complex business disputes, particularly those involving trade secrets and unfair competition. He also litigates breach of contract, insurance coverage, and other claims.
In the intellectual property area, he assists in the creation and management of trademark portfolios and the enforcement of these rights in traditional business activities as well as the Internet environment. He represents clients involved in disputes over Internet domain names and website content. Glenn also provides copyright counsel to clients in business and the arts. He represents parties in copyright litigation, assists with registration and licensing, and advises clients on infringement matters.
Glenn is a frequent speaker on legal protection of intellectual property and proprietary information, as well as other topics.
He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1992 and has been admitted to practice before federal courts in California; the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to joining Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton LLP, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ruggero J. Aldisert, Senior Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association.
Glenn is chairman of the board of directors of the Ventura County Taxpayers Association, and he is a member of the executive committees of the Intellectual Property section and the Business Litigation section of the Ventura County Bar Association. He has served on the board of directors of the United Way of Ventura County and Old Spanish Days in Santa Barbara.
Glenn Dickinson received his legal education from the University of Cincinnati, where he served as Lead Articles Editor for the Law Review and as Managing Editor for the Human Rights Quarterly. He received a bachelor of science degree in journalism and his bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from the University of Maryland.
Glenn and his wife Cammi live in the Hobson Heights area of Ventura and have three children.
