
DAVID L. CUNNINGHAM practice emphasizes real property acquisition, development, financing and exchange, business formation, acquisition, operation and financing and Estate Planning and administration, He has lectured extensively on real estate, business and estate planning subjects. He also taught Secured Transactions, Taxation and Wills and Trusts for eight years at the Ventura and Santa Barbara College of Law.
Mr. Cunningham has been President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Ventura County Bar Association. He served as Chair of the Client Relations Committee of the Ventura County Bar. Mr. Cunningham served for many years on the Real Property Steering Committee for the County Bar. He has held the position of President and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Ventura and Santa Barbara College of Law. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Ventura County.
David L. Cunningham graduated with honors from California Polytechnic State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1970. Upon graduation, he was the recipient of the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award as the outstanding graduate in Business Administration. He received his M.B.A. in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics in 1972 and his law degree in 1973, both from the University of California at Berkeley. At Boalt Hall he was the Leslie B. Schlinghyde Scholar In Law. Upon graduation from law school, Dave clerked for Judge Carlisle Roberts of the Tax Court in Oregon.
Mr. Cunningham has been a resident of Ventura for thirty three years. He has three children, a daughter, RaeLee Hudson, who practices law in South Bend, Indiana, a son, Ryan, who is a venture capitalist in San Francisco and a son, Nicholas, who is a finance executive in San Francisco.
